Somerset Christian School

The new Somerset Christian School is an expansion and transformation of the original Victory Christian School, which was founded on an initial ministry concept of providing a quality Christian education primarily for church members. The school saw an interest and need in providing the same education to the larger community.

Realizing a pattern in Christian education is to see enrollment growing in the primary grades only to have students move to public schools in the upper grades, the facility is designed to serve kindergarten through twelfth grade. The design team’s responsibility was to assist in developing a program containing standard classrooms, specialty classrooms, and support spaces for a Christian education while also creating spaces that would encourage students to remain through graduation.

The design team focused on the unique challenge of handling students at all K-12 grade levels with the varying levels of physical, social and spiritual maturity.
